Andalusia, the Costa del Sol and Málaga are the real jewels in the crown of the Spanish property market. The sunshine coast is home to as many as 6 of the 10 most luxurious addresses in the country according to Idealista. Agnes Inversiones points to further addresses in Marbella that are already or will soon be much more sought-after, expanding the list to 14 items.

The most luxurious properties in Spain

Property prices on the Costa del Sol are definitely standing out compared to Andalusia, as well as Spain as a whole. However, it is not just about the growing interest of buyers – including Poles. For here you will find as many as six of the 10 most luxurious addresses in the country according to Idealista, led by the famous La Zagaleta estate in Benahavís, which once again leads the ranking – creating a value in itself.

In addition to location, the value and attractiveness of a property is influenced, for example, by the view of the sea and the African coast. This is why Agnes Inversiones is pointing out further addresses in Marbella that are already or will soon be much more strongly sought after, expanding the list to 14 items.

It is worth remembering that in the luxury segment, choice is severely limited. Therefore, owners of unique properties have the comfort to wait quietly for the right buyer. When buying a property on the Costa del Sol, you get much more, including a fantastic climate and a unique lifestyle – this is a magnet and it is difficult to find another place like it in Europe, which also has a significant impact on prices, says Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa.

According to Idealista, the average price of a property in La Zagaleta is more than €12 million, with the most expensive residences priced at more than €30 million. The area – a 900-hectare complex where around 250 luxury homes have been built to date – includes two golf courses, an equestrian club, restaurants and even a helipad.

Also in Benahavís, a luxury housing development on the A-397 road – Alcuzcuz and El Madroñal – has been developed, with average prices of €8.6 million. Properties in Marbella – on Vivaldi, Albinoni, Mozart and Wagner Streets in Sierra Blanca and Cascada de Camoján, as well as Los Verdiales and Las Torres on the Golden Mile – are trading slightly lower, at between €6 million and €7 million.

It doesn’t stop there, as exceptional villas or penthouses (priced between €5 million and €7 million) are also on offer in Nueva Andalucía (including La Cerquilla), Nagüeles on the Golden Mile – the top spot in Marbella according to Idealista, or nearby Estepona. The aforementioned La Cerquilla or Los Monteros by the beach are, in turn, locations where the revitalisation of homes in these sought-after neighbourhoods will have a significant impact on market development. However, property on the Costa del Sol can be sought not only with budgets running into millions of euros, as flat prices here start from as little as €350-400,000.

Branded residences, which are actually projects developed jointly by developers and luxury brands, have also established themselves in the market. They are very popular, and it is largely thanks to them that there has been a significant increase in prices in the Golden Triangle. More neighbourhoods in the Golden Mile area will soon become a marker of luxury. Karl Lagerfeld Villas, Marbella Design Hills – Dolce&Gabbana or UNO are being built here,” concludes Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa.
